Coming under the same group as The Alchemist, The Botanist is also located in Trinity and likewise, also offers a fantastic food and drinks menu. Their cocktail and ale list is sublime and we recommend that you try everything on it and decide for yourself which one you like best (not in one sitting of course).

The cocktail we would go for is the Blueberry and Passion Fruit Martini based on taste alone, but if you are looking for something a bit different, then try the Bloody Porcini, flavoured with garlic chive and micro celery, or the Chilli and Chive Martini, made with (you guessed it) fresh chives and chilli syrup. 

If it’s a sit down meal you are looking for, The Botanist has a very alternative dining area, filled with wooden furniture and greenery! The menu consists of a range of starters & nibbles, including Chicken Liver with Rum Pate, Basket of Wings, Smoked Haddock Fish Cake and even Pan Fried Garlic Mushrooms. For larger meals, they do a range of main dishes, including Rotisserie Chicken, Lamb Hotpot Pie, Malaysian Chicken Curry and even Scampi and Chips.

For those “sweet toothers” out there, The Botanist also houses Warm Chocolate Fudge Cake, Sticky Toffee Pudding and the Traditional Trifle Sundae!
