Well, being the cupid that we are, Restaurants of Leeds is here to help. We know a great selection of restaurants that offer the perfect balance between a relaxed ambience and great tasting food. Below we have listed 4 restaurants that may put a second date on the cards:

Bibis

If you are looking for a delicious Italian to recreate the “spaghetti meatball scene” from Lady and the Tramp, Bibis is the perfect place to go. It offers a range of delectable, Italian, a la carte cuisine, ranging from exquisite pastas to crispy pizzas, and if you are smooth enough to get to dessert, Bibis also offers a great selection of mouth watering options.

Some nights at Bibis offer an extremely ambient atmosphere, serving up the perfect setting for romance, and on other nights they offer lively entertainment that is sure to make any awkwardness disappear. So whether you are looking to woo them in a peaceful and ambient atmosphere, or laugh the night away with some great entertainment, Bibis is definitely the place to go.

Loch Fyne

Who said fishy breath kills a date? It definitely doesn’t if your seafood meal is served up in style and tastes like heaven! Loch Fyne provides just this. Loch Fyne is a modern, luxurious and sophisticated seafood restaurant, located in the heart of the city centre, just a minute walk from the train station.

Situated in a stylish courtyard, Loch Fyne impresses before you even enter the building. Once inside, you will be faced with a luxurious, clean setting and served up some amazing food, such as exquisite lobster, crab, mussels and even calamari. It isn’t the cheapest of restaurants, but if you are looking to seriously impress, Loch Fyne is worth every penny.

Sela Bar & Pizzeria

Situated in the heart of the city centre, just off the Headrow, Sela Bar is a contemporary, independently owned boutique bar and pizzeria. It offers a range of delicious ales, cocktails and wines, as well as a selection of tasty pizza. The atmosphere is perfect for a first date; through the week you can expect to walk downstairs into a cosy dim candle lit room, filled with wooden booths and cutely set tables, and a variety of music being softly played; the perfect atmosphere for talking and getting to know one another.

If you are more a fan of seeing live music and singing the night away, the weekend is the perfect time to take your first date here. Every weekend Sela Bar & Pizzeria have live bands playing a variety of different music. It can get pretty loud, but the excitement and great atmosphere is sure to create the perfect date.

Pinche Pinche

For those who enjoy the taste of Mexico and are looking for a romantic, yet fun, first date, Pinche Pinche is the place to be. Situated in Chapel Allerton, Pinche Pinche serves up a great selection of divine, mild and spicy mexican cuisine. They offer delicious tapas style mains, including Esquites, Spicy Cheese Balls, Fish, Chicken, Beef and Lamb filled Tacos, as well as a range of salads and bigger plates.

It may get a little messy, especially if you go for the crispy tacos, but first dates are all about having fun, and I can’t think of any quicker way to get comfortable with someone, than to both be attempting to eat mexican food without making a mess. The cosy and nicely lit atmosphere is sure to put you both in a great mood and leave you with a smile on your face, which is just what you need on a first date.
