If you’re in Leeds and want to enjoy the last of the summer sun, what better way to do so than in the wide selection of outdoor areas and beer gardens in Leeds? Don’t know where the best ones are? Not to worry, below we have listed some of the best places to sit out, enjoy a drink, a bite to eat and soak up the Sun.

Original Oak

If you’re a Headingley resident, or live close by, you will have surely visited this Gastro pub a fair few times. If you haven’t yet heard of the Original Oak,  it is located in Headingley,  and is a fantastic place to go during the summer months, due to the fact is has an enormous outdoor seating area/beer garden, which tends to get the sun throughout the whole day – so no fighting over seats! It is also great if you’re a fan of football or rugby, as The Original Oak often have a large screen at the back of the garden to watch big sporting events on.

The beer garden has previously been voted amongst Britain’s best by Q magazine, and it’s no surprise – it has a BBQ bar alongside the outer edges of the garden, serving up the ever popular burgers and hotdogs! The pub also offers a wide range of ales for those who appreciate a good beer.

Nation of ShopKeepers

If you’re looking for somewhere right in the centre of Leeds as opposed to on the outskirts in Headingely, then Nation of Shopkeepers is one of the places to tick off your list. Nation Of Shopkeepers is a contemporary and slightly indie-ish bar that has an open courtyard at its rear, perfect for when it’s a blistering hot summers day!

With a great mix of beers on tap and a large selection of spirits and bottles behind the bar, Nations is perfect for a quick drink on your lunch break, an evening catch up with friends, or a meal in the sun at the weekend.

Slate NQ

Situated in the same spot that was once The Lounge, Slate NQ is a fantastic bar/pub for  Beer enthusiasts, with it constantly bringing in tasty new ales and sparkling lagers, there’s always new and golden oldie beer to try out. If it’s not beer that you have a taste for, however, they also offer a vast range of wines, cocktails and spirits, so there is something for everyone!

The great thing about Slate NQ is that it has a massive outdoor seating area, including three separate beer gardens, so if like sheldon out of Big Bang Theory, you’re picky about your seat, there is plenty to choose from!

The menu is also something worth shouting about. Slate NQ offers up a great selection of the more traditional english pub grub, such as delicious burgers, however, also offers up some amazing flatbread and pizza options!
